This new 2017 BMW M140i painted in Estoril Blue came to us for our Signature Gtechniq New Car Treatment along with fitment of Xpel paint protection film (PPF) to the front end.

The car was put through the regular pre-wash, wash and decontamination stages prior to being brought inside and put on our scissor lift. Once inside the wheels were removed and decontaminated and coated with Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour.

The disc dells were polished to remove staining and oxidation before being coated with Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour, the brake calipers were also coated.

Few panels had cavity wax leaking out so this was cleaned up with AutoSmart Tardis

As with all new cars that are booked in with us the paintwork was given a 1 stage machine polish prior to application of any paint protection. A finishing polish paired with a polishing pad was used to remove the light marring and feint swirls that were present.

All areas are machine polished to ensure a crisp defect free finish and to increase the gloss levels.

Withe estoril blue paintwork defect free we then applied Xpel Ultimate Paint Protection Film. The customer requested our Standard Front End Package to protect the front bumper, head lights, side mirrors and partial bonnet & front wings.

The remaining paintwork was protected with Gtechniq CSL Black. This innovative sealant offers the latest in nanotechnology advances, providing an effective barrier against extremes of pH. The coating forms a dual layer of protection: the base layer has a hardness of around 7h to provide flexibility; the top layer has a hardness of 9h. The combination of tough over coat with flexible under-layer contributes to the reduction of swirl induced hazing. Once cured Crystal Serum Light is virtually impervious to harsh wash chemicals, industrial and environmental fallout.

Crystal Serum Light was then topped with EXO v3 (this was also applied on top of the paint protection film). This top layer sealant adds an extra level of slickness whilst increasing the hydrophobic properties of the final finish.

The glass was polished and then sealed with Gtechniq G1 ClearVision Smart Glass. This sealant forms a hydrophobic barrier which causes rain water to roll in to beads on contact which improves visibility in wet weather.

Exhaust tail pipes were coated with Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour. This heat resistant nanotechnology-based coating bonds with the surface to provide comprehensive protection from road grime and black soot build-up.
