Do not wash your car in the first 7 days after installation, the moisture in between the film and the paint surface is still evaporating.
Wash with a PH Neutral shampoo
Remove insect splatter, bird droppings or other stains as soon as possible otherwise they could etch the film.
Stubborn stains can be removed with 99% isopropyl alcohol. Take care to keep these chemicals off the vehicle’s paint.
Seal with a sealant at least once every 3 months to preserve high gloss. Alternately have a dedicated PPF Ceramic Coating (XPEL Fusion, Gtechniq Halo) applied for extended durability. Follow up with XPEL Detail Spray and/or XPEL Ceramic Boost for added gloss. A wax can be used, however be sure the product you are using doesn’t contain Naphtha or Kerosene in concentrations over 5%, and also avoid waxes that contain dyes.
Light scratches in the film will self-heal in 20-30 minutes at room temperature. In colder conditions, or to accelerate the process, pour warm water over the affected area.
Avoid using a pressure washer or high-pressure water source near the edges of the film, it can cause the film to lift and/or become damaged (recommended safe distance is 3 feet).
A clay bar can be used to remove contaminants that are on the film.
